Blade and tang from Roselli’s original knife model, simply called Hunting Knife, with a durable Roselli Wootz, UHC-blade. Ultra High Carbon=UHC is manufactured by Roselli and maintains edge sharpness significantly longer than regular carbon steel, perfect for skinning and processing in the field.

UHC (Ultra High Carbon) steel is developed by Heimo Roselli’s own method through years of research and testing. UHC steel gives the edge extra hardness and sharpness.

Carbon steel blade care: carbon steel knives require extra care to prevent rusting and oxidisation of the surface. These knives should not be placed in a dishwasher or allowed to soak in water. After use we recommend cleaning the blade with a damp sponge or cloth and  dry thoroughly, and apply a light coating of vegetable oil to the blade’s surface. If your blade shows signs of rust, use some steel wool to remove it and then apply some oil to the blade. To keep the blade razor sharp, use a honing, or sharpening, steel. After some use, the steel blade will develop a patina, a darkening which is desirable and an indication of its age.
